SINFIN RUNNING CLUB
WELFARE AND THE RESPONSIBILITY OF MEMBER
Sinfin Running Club is committed to providing the highest possible standards of welfare for members, to ensure a safe and positive experience at the club, in accordance with UK Athletics guidance.
The club welfare officers and the committee cannot do this alone however, and recognise that welfare is the responsibility of every club member. All members should report any concern to a club Welfare Officer.
The Club Welfare Officers are trained and trusted persons to speak to about a concern either within the club or when appropriate, outside of the club environment. They have the skills and knowledge to manage any concern raised in an appropriate way that would not hamper any investigation and only share confidential information within these parameters.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR CLUB MEMBERS
Club Welfare Officers are not trained counsellors or psychotherapists and cannot provide 1:1 talking therapy.
The Welfare Officers are volunteers who will respond to any concerns raised in an appropriate and timely manner, however, they are not available 24/7.
Members should always call 101 or 999 with any urgent concern.
As a club, we endeavour to be aware of any issues or injuries that our members might be experiencing, however, we rely on members reporting any concerns to us. Please do not presume we already know
