As July draws to a close, it’s time for another instalment of Meet the Greens! This month, we’re shining the spotlight on none other than Sinfin’s 2023 Club Person of the Year, our Run Co-ordinator and Fell Liaison - the one and only Martin Sower.
From parkruns to ultras, tarmac to fells, Martin loves it all—and can regularly be spotted flying the flag for Sinfin at local events. With epic races like the Stretton Skyline and the Nomad 50-miler under his belt, it’s no surprise he racks up some serious mileage. In fact, he’s been known to run over 2,000 miles in a single year!
But it’s not all hard training -Martin is also known for bringing the fun. He’s often first to do the fancy dress for our Sinfin parkrun away days, reminding us all that running is meant to be enjoyed.
