SINFIN RUNNING CLUB

A couple of minor showers had helped to lower the temperature and this morning it was perfectly perfect for parkrun (ppp) with the sun beating down.

There were a fair few on the road this morning, with Simon hitting a parkrun right up his street (or rather mountain!), at Fell Foot in the beautiful Lake District. Andy and Julie were down near Bedford for Henlow Bridge Lakes parkrun. More close to home Brendan (on his way to a Fell race), Ed and Rob all randomly bumped into each other at Ashbourne parkrun with Rob getting a PB on the course. Dan visited the lovely Rushcliffe parkrun for his debut there, and Alyson, Fiona, Julie and Sam all were first timers at the fabulous Wollaton Hall parkrun, with Sam blasting to a glorious podium position in 3rd place. Well done you tourists!

Back home in Alvaston, Brian and Catherine helped out with the volunteering - thanks guys! - and David L and Kevin P were both in the top 20 on the running front.

At Long Eaton, John B got over the line 1st in his age category and Dennis and Lorna made their debut there.
